BELIEFS
The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible (Old and New Testaments) is the verbally inspired and infallable, authoritative Word of God. We believe that the King James Bible has been preserved for the English-speaking people and, therefore, is the only Bible used at Trinity Baptist Church. We belive that the Bible is the final authority in faith and life (II Timothy 2:16-17, II Peter 1:19-21, Psalm 12:6-7).
The Godhead
We believe the Godhead eternally exists in three persons (the Trinity), Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one God, having precisely the same nature attributes, and perfections (Genesis 1:1, 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 23:19-20, II Corinthians 13:14, Romans 8:9)
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is eternal in His existence. He came to earth by means of a virgin birth (Luke 1:35, Isaiah 7:14). His death on the cross is the substitutionary atonement for sin (Romans 3:25, Hebrews 9:14). His literal bodily resurrection from the dead (Luke 24:36-43, Acts 10:40-41). His personal return to earth (Acts 1:11, I Thessalonians 4:16, Colosians 2:9, Matthew 26:64)
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Godhead. He convicts men of sin (John 16:8); regenerates, indwells, seals (I Corinthians 3:16, Ephesians 1:13-14), and sets believers apart unto a holy life. The Holy Spirit is the teacher of the Word of God and guide for a christians daily life.
Satan
We believe in the reality and personality of Satan. He is a fallen angel, the arch enemy of God and man, the unholy god of this world, for whom the place of eternal punishment (hell) was prepared. (Job 1:6-9, Job 2:3, Matthew 4:1-11, I Peter 5:8, James 4:7)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is solely by grace through faith in the blood sacrifice, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). All who receive Jesus Christ by confession of sin and repentance are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become children of God (John 1:12). All who are truly saved are kept forever and cannot lose their salvation (John 10:17-29).
The Church
We believe that the local church is composed of regenerated, baptized believers, voluntarily united together for the purpose of worship, edification, fellowship of believers, spiritual growth and service. The church has been commissioned by Christ to propagate the Gospel unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The Future
We believe in the personal pre-tribulation and pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ. He will come for His saints together at the rapture. Christ will come back with His saints to set up His kingdom on this earth (Revelation 19:11-16, 20:4-6, I Thessalonians 4:13-18, John 14:3).
Missions
Jesus left the commandment that we should be witnesses for Him (Acts 1:8) and are to take the Good News of the Gospel to every place where man can be found (Matthew 28:19-20). We believe that to carry out this commandment, we must ourselves be witnesses by life and word to tell all lost men about Christ and we must support by prayer and financial aid those who go out under sound missionary agencies to represent us in other parts of the world.
